Hello.
My name is Dr. Celeste Simmons. I am a family practice Forensic Psychologist. I'm not a criminal profiler like on TV! My title basically means I have a specialty in working with individuals of various ages, who have court ordered mandates to complete some type of psychological service. Translation: If you get a court order for mental health, come see me! My academic and field training in psychology and mental health law, helps me to inform decision makers of pertinent mental health related issues that are essential to understand, in making legal decisions. So I am able to help attorneys and judges with their cases.

My Story
I have served as an expert in cases concerning juvenile, dependency, criminal issues, and family court cases in California as well as family court concerns in North Carolina and juvenile court cases in Massachusetts. I have testified for state and federal jurisdictions in California and have served as a consultant for attorneys and schools and as a speaker for schools and other organizations. Consultations have included mental health and substance use concerns, child development and family issues, suicide risk, as well as general issues regarding the provision of psychological services. In therapy, I can help you to achieve less conflict/stress in your life so that you can enjoy more of your life! We will accomplish this by assessing your unique situation. We will also assess your ideal scenario and set subsequent personalized realistic and achievable goals and move forward from there.

For psychological evaluations, we can review your court order (if applicable)or other documentation, to decide what will best meet your needs and/or the needs of your referring entity. You will be evaluated by the most recent measurements backed by empirical data. Please note, depending on the nature of your referral (if applicable), you may or may not have sole access to the results. You may also be required to sign releases of information. Services that can be provided at this practice do not have to be court mandated. Such services typically include therapy, psychological evaluation, coaching & consultation, and lunch & learn workshops.

As a real person, I have many interests. I love the outdoors, traveling, spending time with friends and family, cooking new recipes and finding ways to improve our world. I have completed multiple road races from 5k to half marathon. I am more recently reigniting my desire for racing after a "momhood" lapse. I am a social person and enjoy interacting with others, and try to be as down to earth as possible. I value questions that people are concerned about and strive to be as thorough as possible when addressing them.
